Police said one staffer went to the hospital after the attacker stabbed him in the chest with a sharp object.
Witnesses said two people were taken away by ambulance, and at least one person was unresponsive.
A 15-year-old boy has been charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery in the attack.
A third teen was apprehended about half a mile from the stabbing scene.
Officers found the victim, only described as a 33-year-old man, on the floor of the residence with an apparent stab wound to his stomach.
Chicago police said the victim was arguing with another unknown man on the train that turned into a fight. During this, the offender pulled out a sharp object and swung it at the victim.
The FBI said 42-year-old Arnoldo Jimenez was arrested in Monterrey, Mexico, on Thursday, and is awaiting extradition to the U.S.
The victims were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where they were both listed in serious condition.
