The boy was in a house in the 1100 block of East 91st Street, near University Avenue, when he was shot in the chest by three people who fired from outside the house, police said.
"It was madness. Everybody could not hold in their energy."

Chicago police say four people were shot in an alley near 61st and Justine - just east of Ashland around 9 p.m.
A reward for information has since climbed to $15,000.
Each of the incidents happened during various hours in the 7200 block of South Langley Avenue between Oct. 12 and 16.
