The family of a 21-year-old woman who was shot and killed at a Stone Park nightclub last week is suing the club and the security guard now charged with involuntary manslaughter in her death.
Kevin Henley Jr., 35, of Chicago’s South Side, was arrested Monday in the killing of Zulma Calderon-Pacheco. As Asal Rezaei reports, CBS News Chicago has learned Henley should not even have been working at the club that night.
There was no 911 call made after the shooting, and one alderwoman said she believes ShotSpotter technology, which was removed last year, would have helped in this case. Tara Molina reports.
Alderwoman Monique Scott (24th) said he was found in a backyard. She confirmed that ShotSpotter technology was in place in the neighborhood where the boy was found and says it could've helped police and first responders find him sooner, and she's not alone.
