The two victims were found shot in the east alley, in the 4700 block of North Troy Street just before 11:30 p.m. Friday.
The ages of the victims range from 5 to 62.
Officers responded to a disturbance inside the residence and found the victim, a 59-year-old man, with a gunshot wound to the stomach.
The victim told the officers he was shot by the offender, a 55-year-old woman, who was still on the scene. She was placed in custody, and a weapon was recovered.
Chicago police said just after 11:30 p.m., two men were arguing on the sidewalk in the 500 block of North Leamington Avenue. Both pulled out handguns, and one of the men fired shots at two others who were in a group.
Police say the woman convinced her coworker, whom she had a romantic relationship with, to shoot and kill her boyfriend.
It was said that the victim remote started his car and was walking towards it when he was shot by an unknown person.
The ages of the victims range from 16 to 68.
The shooting happened around 4:30 a.m. in the 7400 block of South State Street in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood.

The victim was walking around 7 a.m. when an unknown offender shot him in the chest, Chicago police said. He was taken to Loyola Hospital, where he died.
