The family of a man shot and killed by police in west suburban Carol Stream is demanding the release of body camera video showing the moment he was killed.
"Isaac Goodlow, a 30-year-old Black man, was shot and unjustifiably killed by the Carol Stream police officers," said Andrew M. Stroth, an attorney for Goodlow's family.
Despite being warned at least four times that Craig was the victim before arriving at the apartment, Officer Alberto Covarrubias shot and killed Michael Craig, 61, upon entering an apartment as the couple struggled over the knife. CBS 2's Charlie De Mar reports.
Police said when the officer tried to help the man, the man began struggling with him, and got hold of a knife and began stabbing himself. He then approached the officer while still holding the knife, and the officer shot him.
CBS 2's Marissa Perlman reports that CPD Supt. Larry Snelling said officers were responding to an attempted crash-and-grab burglary at the Prada store in the 100 block of East Walton Street just after 4 a.m.
LeGrier, 19, was shot and killed by police during a domestic disturbance call in the West Garfield Park neighborhood apartment building where he lived.
