The new role for the former Bull is leading a basketball league called, One City.
Kemba Walker scored 21 points, RJ Barrett added 20 and the New York Knicks hung on to hand the Chicago Bulls their first loss of the season on Thursday night.
"The happiest I've been in awhile, to see it snowing," Markkanen says.
Noah could miss the remainder of the season.
"There was a lot of love in the building tonight," Noah said of returning to the United Center.
Noah and Rose were playing their first game at the United Center since moving from the Bulls to the Knicks.
"I will continue to do my best to help this city," Noah writes.
Noah and former Bulls teammate Derrick Rose are on the verge of reuniting.
"I'll consider every offer on the table, no doubt," Noah told Sportando.

Noah's on the downside of his career and hasn't always seen eye to eye with Fred Hoiberg and Jimmy Butler.
The 31-year-old Noah played just 29 games this past season because of injuries.

Noah's referred to his shoulder surgery as "season-ending" -- which may mean his career in Chicago's over.
The surgery went as planned, coach Fred Hoiberg said.
Noah hasn't been the same since May 2014 knee surgery.
"We have played better when the challenge has been bigger," Pau Gasol says.
It's possible that Noah's career in Chicago could be over.
