Late Friday, no one was in custody. Detectives were investigating.
Officials say the incident happened near the 3800 block of West North Avenue.
Police said just before 7 p.m., a man grabbed the woman in the area of West Pierce and Central Park Avenue while she was searching for an item in her car.
The shooting happened just after 12:30 a.m. in the 3400 block of West Grand Avenue in Humboldt Park.
