The vehicle is described as a dark red or maroon Kia Sorento SUV, with Illinois license plate EB88421.
The man was walking in the 1300 block of South Central Park Avenue when he was struck by a sport-utility vehicle headed south.
The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he later died.
Police said 17-year-old Jorge Carmona was riding his bike near Belvidere Road and Fulton Avenue around 12:45 a.m. on Nov. 10, when he was struck by two vehicles, both of which fled the scene.
The incident happened just before 6 p.m. in the 6700 block of South Western Avenue.
