About 7:50 p.m., the 23-year-old was shot in the hand during an attempted robbery in the 11200 block of South Avenue H, police said. The shooter ran off without getting any of the man's property.

About 9:30 p.m., the 26-year-old was found with two gunshot wounds to the head in the 11300 block of South Forest Avenue.
