A 16-year-old boy was shot to death and a 17-year-old boy was seriously wounded in a South Chicago shooting Monday evening. The two were standing outside in the 7900 block of South Merrill Avenue about 5:30 p.m. when a red vehicle pulled up and a male got out and shot them, police said.
Thursday night, one man was killed and another was wounded in a Chatham neighborhood shooting, police said. The two men were inside a basement apartment about 9:55 p.m. in the 7900 block of South State when someone knocked on the door, and fired several shots when the door was opened.
