Three people barricaded themselves in an Englewood home after trying to carjack a woman, police said.
The suspects ran into a house in the 6100 block of South Carpenter Street and held police in a standoff after they tried to carjack the woman, police said.
The boy was inside a home in the 6800 block of South Morgan Street handling a gun, when the gun discharged.
"To do something really just good and beautiful in your neighborhood. And it's not just us. There are a lot of people doing it."

The men were standing on a sidewalk when someone drove by and started shooting.
Police are warning residents Saturday of robberies in the Englewood area -- the most recent robbery happened Friday evening.
"We're not going to raise it up in another community. We're going to raise it up right here. Because our assignment is to Englewood. Our commitment is to the residents of Englewood and beyond," lead pastor Gerald Dew said.

"We wanted to kind of come and take the street back and let businesses in the area know we are here. We are present where a lot of our businesses experience violence."
The Chicago Fire Department has said the fire is still burning in the deeply compacted debris. Whenever crews stop pouring water on the rubble, the fire is inclined to reignite.
