According to police, three robbers took a car at gunpoint from one of the victims before driving around and robbing lone pedestrians of their property.
In each incident, at least one of the robbers was armed with a handgun, police said.
Authorities arrested Marvin Johnson, 22, at his home in the 7800 block of South Essex Avenue on Thursday.

The victim was sitting in her parked car when four armed males approached and forced her out of the car, police said.

Troopers responded to the location around 4 a.m. for a report of a theft at the 7-Eleven store. When troopers arrived, a man ran out of the convenience store and forced someone at the gas pump to give up their car.
Darnell Ingram, 25, was arrested by members of the Vehicular Hijacking Task Force on Tuesday, in the 6600 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue.
Chicago Police are investigating.

The man then took off in the red Toyota Camry heading westbound.
Police said the victim was entering his running vehicle when a man came up from behind and pistol-whipped him in the back of the head.

Angel Martinez, 23, was charged with two felony counts of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm and one felony count of reckless discharge of a firearm.
Edson Resendez, aka "Savage"; Maverick Cela, aka "G Reckless"; and Prezila Apreza have been indicted on federal charges of conspiracy, carjacking, and weapons violations.
The offenders entered her vehicle and fled southbound on Damen.
