A man was held without bail on Friday after being charged with violently beating a 61-year-old woman during a carjacking in Harwood Heights.
Melvin Jordan was out on bond awaiting a new trial in a 2005 murder when he was arrested on charges of holding two firefighters at knifepoint in an Auburn Gresham basement. As CBS 2's Suzanne Le Mignot reports, that bond has now been revoked.
Melvin Jordan, of Chicago, was arrested after he held his two victims inside a basement of a home, police said.
