The victim's daughter, who also lives in the apartment, told police that her boyfriend had threatened to burn up the apartment earlier in the evening.
The blaze injured three people, including a firefighter. Police said eyewitnesses and surveillance video helped identify 29-year-old Jose Martinez as the person who set the fire.
Jose Martinez, 29, has been charged with two counts of aggravated arson.
Two of the men are charged with murder and arson, and a third with insurance fraud, in the fire that took the firefighter's life in West Pullman last year. Darius Johnson reports.
