A pro-Palestinian encampment on the Northwestern campus came down after Northwestern President Michael Schill struck a deal with protesters. As CBS 2’s Charlie De Mar reports, some lawmakers accuse Schill of caving to their demands.
Northwestern University President Michael Schill spent hours testifying before Congress on Thursday, at a hearing about anti-Semitism on college campuses, and defended the school's negotiated end to a student protest encampment last month.
Schill defended the university's agreement with pro-Palestinian protesters last month to end a tent encampment on campus.
The lawsuit also criticizes the school for allowing tent encampments in protest of the war in Gaza – in violation of its own campus policies.
The complaint alleged some Jewish students faced harassment and hateful rhetoric. CBS 2's Marybel Gonzalez reports.
