Crowd Turns Out For Zoo Run 5K At Brookfield Zoo
BROOKFIELD, Ill. (CBS) -- Most visitors take their time strolling through the Brookfield Zoo, but on Sunday morning, thousands of people raced past the animals for a good cause.
After a year off because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual Zoo Run returned.
An entire course of the 5K is within zoo grounds. The race raises money for animal conservation efforts.
After they finished, runners and their families got free zoo admission to stick around and actually enjoy the animals.
