Zawaski: A Look At The Blackhawks' Key Matchups

By Jay Zawaski-

On Thursday, the NHL released a complete schedule for the 2012-2013 season. Here's a look at some of the more interesting games on the Blackhawks' schedule:

The Blackhawks open their season October 13th at the United Center vs the Columbus Blue Jackets. October 30th, the Phoenix Coyotes come to the United Center. However, assuming the NHL upholds Raffi Torres' 25 game suspension, Hawks fans won't have a choice to boo the Coyotes winger until February 12th.

The Penguins come to town November 5th, while the Rangers (January 2nd), and Bruins (February 17th) will represent the Eastern Conference's Original Six teams at the United Center. The Hawks will travel to Toronto November 3rd, Montreal December 4th, and Boston January 12th for those planning road trips.

The defending Stanley Cup Champion LA Kings come to the United Center November 27th.
