Zaidman: Bears Offense Needs To Show Up
(WSCR) As the Bears sit on the outside looking in of the playoff picture, the key to turning it around is simple, in theory.
The Bears must sustain longer drives on offense that lead to points -- not even touchdowns, just points. Behind quarterback Caleb Hanie, the Bears have scored just one touchdown over the past two games, forcing the defense to play almost perfectly. There has been no margin for error.
"Ultimately, it all comes down to this: From a football standpoint, the Bears need to put some points on the board," The Score's Zach Zaidman told The Mully and Hanley Show. "It's that simple. You ask how this is going to stop? Start sustaining some longer drives here. (When you're) 2-of-15 on third down conversions in that game against the Broncos, 0-for-11 the week before against Kansas City -- you gotta start sustaining some longer drives."
