Suspicious Package Cleared In Skokie, Yellow Line Running Again
SKOKIE, Ill. (STMW) -- The CTA Yellow Line is running again Sunday evening after a suspicious suitcase was discovered on a train platform in north suburban Skokie.
About 4 p.m., a suspicious suitcase was discovered on the Dempster station's platform, CTA spokesman Brian Steele said.
The package was cleared by 5:40 p.m. and service was restored, according to a CTA rider alert.
Skokie police and fire officials were on the scene investigating, but did not immediately comment.
