Wrigleyville Heist Was Bank Robber's Second In A Month
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Authorities say the same man who robbed a bank last month on the Near North Side struck again in a Saturday afternoon hold-up in Wrigleyville.
The latest heist happened about 2:20 p.m. at the Fifth Third Bank branch at 3601 N. Broadway, following the July 12 robbery at the Fifth Third at 29 W. Division St., according to the FBI.
The robber is described as a slim 5-foot-7 black man who donned a curly wig, a golf cap and sunglasses both times. He's thought to be in his 40s or 50s.
He didn't show a weapon in either robbery, and no one was hurt, authorities said.
Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to contact the FBI's Chicago office at (312) 421-6700.
