Woodstock Man Charged With Attacking 6th Woman He Met On Craigslist
WOODSTOCK, Ill (STMW) -- A northwest suburban man already charged with several sex-related crimes he committed against woman he met on Craigslist was charged Tuesday with attacking a sixth woman.
Charles R. Oliver, 45, of the 400 block of West Greenwood Avenue in Woodstock, was already being held at the McHenry County Jail on a $3 million bond for three counts of criminal sexual assault, three counts of unlawful restraint and one count of harassment of a witness, according to Woodstock police.
Oliver was charged Tuesday with two more counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault after a sixth victim came forward, according to Woodstock police. He was ordered held on another $500,000 for the most recent allegations.
Oliver was originally arrested Jan. 28 and charged with two counts of criminal sexual assault and two counts of unlawful restraint, police said. The prior investigation led to three new victims being identified and the charges being upgraded in February.
Prosecutors claim Oliver met each of the victims on Craigslist, and allegedly assaulted them after they met at pre-arranged locations, police said.
