Woodstock Man Accused Of Raping Women He Met Through Craigslist
WOODSTOCK, Ill. (CBS) -- McHenry County prosecutors want bond revoked for a man accused of raping five women he met online through Craigslist.
WBBM Newsradio's Bernie Tafoya reports 44-year-old Charles Oliver is charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault, unlawful restraint, and witness tampering.
One woman has accused him of locking her in the basement of his Woodstock home, and refusing to let her leave.
He allegedly raped that woman and four others he met on Craigslist.
Court records indicate Oliver met up with the women between November of 2011 and early this year.
He is accused of witness tampering for allegedly contacting the husband of one of the alleged victims.
A judge will decide Monday whether Oliver should stay in jail as he awaits trial. He was freed on $150,000 bail after he was charged in three of the alleged attacks, but was arrested again last month in two new cases.
According to the Chicago Tribune, investigators were looking into whether there might be any other victims.
