Woodlawn Hit-And-Run Leaves 3 Hospitalized
CHICAGO (CBS) - A vehicle plowed into a 39-year-old woman, a 6-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy and fled the scene Sunday afternoon on the South Side, according to Chicago Police News Affairs.
The hit-and-run occurred about 3 p.m. when a vehicle hit three pedestrians at the intersection of 63rd and King Drive and fled the scene, according to a Grand Crossing District police captain.
Witnesses said a black Honda Passport or Isuzu Rodeo hit the three pedestrians and fled.
Fire Media Affairs spokesman Quention Curtis said the boys were taken in serious condition to University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital. The 6 year-old had facial lacerations and the 14 year-old has a possible fractured leg. Their injuries appear to be non life-threatening.
The woman had minor injuries and declined treatment at the scene, according to News Affairs.
