Woman Suspected Of Stabbing 3 Family Members On West Side
CHICAGO (STMW) - Three members of a West Side family were hospitalized when they were stabbed, allegedly by another family member, early Saturday in the West Side Garfield Park neighborhood.
The stabbings happened about 3:15 a.m. in the 2800 block of West Polk Street when a female, her age unknown, stabbed three members of her family, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
The three victims -- a male and two females -- were taken in "stable" condition to Mount Sinai Hospital. They are the suspect's 35-year-old mother, her 18-year-old brother, and her 15-year-old sister, police said.
The male was stabbed in the shoulder, one of the females was stabbed in the leg, and the other female was stabbed in the side of her chest, Greer said.
Police were looking for the suspect Saturday, and Area North detectives are investigating.
