Woman Struck, Critically Injured In Hit-And-Run
CHICAGO (WBBM) -- Chicago Police are asking for help in finding a hit-and-run driver who critically injured a woman at a South Side bus stop Wednesday afternoon.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Regine Schlesinger reports, police say the 57-year-old victim was waiting for a bus at 69th and State streets, when a light gray Buick LeSabre suddenly slammed into her.

Two women inside the car got out and ran.
The woman who was hit was rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Her right leg had to be amputated, while her left one was broken.
The woman also suffered severe abdominal injuries and lost a significant amount of blood.
She was last reported in critical, but stable, condition.
