Woman Shot, Wounded Inside Store In South Austin
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A woman was rushed to the hospital Wednesday evening after she was shot inside a store in the South Austin neighborhood.
The shooting happened at 8:03 p.m. at 100 S. Laramie Ave., the Fire Department said. A Family Dollar store is located at the address.
Police said the 37-year-old woman was inside the store when she heard gunshots and felt pain. She had been shot in the left leg.
The woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.
