Woman Shot In Little Village
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 24-year-old woman was shot in the leg and chest Thursday night, as she was on her porch in the Little Village neighborhood.
Police said the woman was standing on the porch with friends in the 2100 block of South Marshall Boulevard around 10:15 p.m., when a man drove up in a dark car, got out of the vehicle, and opened fire.
The woman was shot in the leg and chest. She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.
Police said the shooting appeared to be gang-related, though a police spokeswoman said she could not say if the victim was affiliated with a gang.
