Woman Shot In Head On Far South Side Porch Dies
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 41-year-old woman was fatally shot in the head late Saturday on the Far South Side.
The woman was standing on a porch in the 300 block of West 108th Place about 11 p.m. when a male suspect approached on foot and shot the woman in the head, according to police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez.
Tonya Gist, 41, of the same address, was pronounced dead at 11:11 p.m. at Roseland Community Hospital, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
No one was in custody Sunday morning.
Area South detectives are investigating.
