Woman Remains Missing After Not Making It To Nightclub
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 25-year-old woman remains missing, after heading for the Exit nightclub on North Avenue last week and never making it.
This past Thursday, Irma Sabanovic left her home in the 1900 block of West Hood Avenue in the West Rogers Park neighborhood. She planned to go to Exit, a punk and metal club at 1315 W. North Ave.
Exit is on an isolated stretch of North Avenue between the Kennedy Expressway and the North Branch of the Chicago River. But Sabanovic apparently went more than a mile out of her way and got lost at Milwaukee Avenue and Erie Street, police said.
She was driving a blue four-door Ford Focus with Illinois plate A465569.
News of the woman's disappearance frightens neighbors.
"It's crazy. It could have been me. You know, I live right here. I went to the same place," the young woman's neighbor, Aida Halilovic, told CBS 2's Pamela Jones on Monday.
Sabanovic is 5 feet 10 inches tall 10 and 120 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. She is white with a medium complexion, and has a tattoo that says "Minge" on her right forearm and a tattoo of a star on her back.
