Shuttle Bus Driver Cited After Hitting Woman At O'Hare
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police have ticketed the driver of hotel shuttle bus that struck a Wisconsin woman Tuesday at O'Hare Airport.
Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford said the woman, said to be around 40 years of age, was struck, pinned and possibly dragged a short distance by the Intercontinental O'Hare Hotel shuttle bus.
Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said the bus was driven by 50-year-old Jaime Flores, of Stone Park.
The accident occurred outside of O'Hare Terminal 1. Alfaro said Flores was ticketed for striking a pedestrian in the roadway.
Initially, the woman's breathing was unsteady, but once Fire Department paramedics transported her to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, in Park Ridge, doctors were able to stabilize her.
