CHICAGO (CBS) -- A young mother was found dead Sunday night, with her throat was slashed inside her Brighton Park home.
CBS 2's Courtney Gousman reports police were conducting a homicide investigation, after 31-year-old Lady Diana Sanabria was found dead in her apartment in the 4400 block of South Richmond Street, around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police said her death appeared to be the result of a domestic dispute.
A woman who identified herself as Sanabria's cousin, but asked not to reveal her name or face, said Sanabria was a mother of four.
She said her cousin dropped off her children at her parents' house on Saturday, which was one of the last times Sanabria was seen alive. The cousin said Sanabria and her husband were supposed to be going to a party.
"From what they (the parents) heard, there was some sort of argument, but they never made it to the party," she said.
Sanabria's parents started to worry when they couldn't get in touch with her.
Her landlord, Jose Madregal, said he opened the door to her apartment for her father, who found her body in the kitchen around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Sanabria's cousin said the family doesn't know where her husband is.
Madregal said Sanabria and her family lived in the apartment for about a year. Her family said she was married for at least 10 years.
As of early Monday, no one was in custody.
