Woman Found Dead In Historic Frank Lloyd Wright Mansion
HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. (CBS) -- A 51-year-old woman who was found dead overnight at a historic mansion in Highland Park overnight apparently took her own life, police said.
Sylvia Robinson's husband found her unresponsive in a home in the 1400 block of Sheridan Road in Highland Park, shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday, police said. She had suffered a single gunshot wound to the head, but detectives were awaiting autopsy results to confirm if her death was a suicide.
A gun was recovered at the scene, and sources said there were no signs of forced entry.
The home where Robinson was found is the Ward W. Willits House, built in 1901, and considered to be the first Prairie style house designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
An autopsy was scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
