Woman Dies In Northwest Side Crash
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A woman died Monday night after the van she was driving hit a telephone pole before it struck a tree on the Northwest Side, police said.
The single-vehicle accident happened about 9 p.m. in the 3200 block of North Elston Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro, citing preliminary information.
Ann Kim, 57, of the 2800 block of West Montrose Avenue, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where she died at 10 p.m., Alfaro said. No one else was inside the van, Alfaro said, and no one else was injured.
Investigators continued to search early Tuesday for what caused the accident, Alfaro said.
