Woman Dies After Fall From Lincoln Park Balcony
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A woman died after falling from a second-story balcony early Thursday near DePaul University's Lincoln Park campus on the North Side.
Karlie Aubry, 23, was leaning over the balcony railing about 12:40 a.m. when she fell from the building in the 2200 block of North Halsted Street, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Aubry, of the 2800 block of North Orchard Street, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 6:38 a.m., the medical examiner's office said. An autopsy was scheduled for Friday.
Police said the incident was likely accidental as Area Central detectives conduct a death investigation.
