Woman Dies 4 Days After Crash On North Side
CHICAGO (STMW) -- An elderly northwest suburban woman died Sunday following a car accident last week that left her critically injured.
About 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, 71-year-old Susan Kuncl was driving west on West Division Street when she allegedly ran a traffic light and struck a vehicle waiting to turn left on North Elston Avenue, authorities said.
Kuncl, of the 200 block of Doral Court in Elk Grove Village, was taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where she died at 2:48 p.m. Sunday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured, police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines said.
The police Major Accidents Investigation Unit is investigating.
