Woman Dead, Man Hurt After Amtrak Crash
CHICAGO (CBS/WBBM) -- A 20-year-old woman is dead, and a man is in critical condition, after the car they were in went around train gates, and was struck by an Amtrak train on the city's South Side.

Amtrak train No. 50 en route to New York had just left Union Station just before 6 p.m. Thursday, with 245 passengers on board. The train was delayed at 97th Street and Eggleston Avenue, when witnesses say a car went around the downed crossing gates at 6:55 p.m.
The woman and man in the car were both transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
The woman, identified as Patrice Robinson, 20, of the 9900 block of South Perry Avenue, died at the hospital. She was pronounced dead at 7:29 p.m. Thursday.
The train remained on the scene for at least two hours after the incident.
