Woman Charged For Allowing Children To Live With Sex Offender

CHICAGO (STMW) - A Northwest Side woman was charged after authorities learned a registered sex offender convicted of assaulting two of her four children had been living with them, police said.

Elizabeth Ramirez, 35, of the 4300 block of North Troy Avenue, was arrested there Friday morning and charged with misdemeanor endangering the life and health of a child, according to police.

Ramirez allegedly permitted a child sex offender to live with her and her four children, who are between the ages of 9 and 13, and care for them when she was not around, according to a police report. The child sex offender was convicted of offenses against two of her four children, the report said.

Ramirez told police she works in the lunchroom of an unidentified public school.
