Woman Charged After Fatally Stabbing Man In Bed
CHICAGO (STMW) - A woman was charged with plunging a knife into a man she was reportedly in bed with, killing him early Friday at an apartment on the South Side, police said.
Tara Louis, 38, was charged with one count of murder for the fatal stabbing of Harry Ousley Jr., police said. Court information was not immediately available.
Police said Louis was in bed with 54-year-old Ousley when the stabbing occurred about 1:40 a.m. Friday in a apartment in the 400 block of East 44th Street. Louis allegedly washed the knife she used and put it away with other dishes after the attack, police said.
A motive was not known immediately but Louis initially said she stabbed him in self-defense. She took a polygraph test Saturday and the Cook County State's Attorney's office brought charges Saturday afternoon, according to police.
An autopsy Friday determined Ousley died of multiple stab and incise wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, Cook County Medical Examiner's office
The victim was stabbed in the back and transported to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, where he was later found to be unresponsive, according to the officer.
Ousley and Louis were not married but were "acquaintances'' who may have lived in different apartments in the same building.
Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
