Woman Booked For Smuggling Gun In 'Intimate Area'
JOLIET, Ill. (CBS) -- A woman is charged with trying to smuggle a gun into Stateville prison in Joliet by placing it in what authorities have euphemistically called her "intimate area."
Aisha N. McClinton, 33, was booked into the Will County Jail last week as part of her conviction on weapons charges.
On March 14, 2010, police allege McClinton was arriving at Stateville Correctional Center in Joliet to visit a man serving a life sentence for murder, when she refused to allow police to search her car.
After McClinton changed her mind, one officer found cannabis under her seat, while another saw something else.
While court records say the officer saw a 9mm handgun come from McClinton's waistband, police report the firearm appeared to have been concealed in an "intimate area" of her anatomy. No reports have been more specific.
McClinton has been sentenced to 120 days in jail and two years of probation.
