Wolves beat rival IceHogs in Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill. (CBS) -- The Chicago Wolves took a visit to Rockford Saturday evening to take on the rival IceHogs.

The Wolves went on to win 3-2.

Fans were able to get excited just under two minutes into the game, as Tyson Jost got the scoring started for the Wolves. Jost's shot beat IceHogs goaltender Mitchell Weeks to the stick side a minute and 52 seconds into the first period.

Justin Robidas and Josiah Slavin recorded assists on Jost's goal, his first of the season, the Wolves said.

Jost had a goal and an assist, while Brendan Lemieux and Noel Gunler also scored in the first period.

The Wolves snapped a four-game losing streak in the first of 12 meetings with the IceHogs.
