Windows Smashed At Multiple Downtown Aurora Buildings
AURORA, Ill. (CBS) -- Police in Aurora are investigating a string of vandalism incidents involving smashed windows.
As WBBM Newsradio's Dave Berner reports, last weekend, the windows of several businesses in downtown Aurora were smashed. On Tuesday and Wednesday, there were two more reports of smashed windows.

According to police reports, a white man wearing light blue jeans and a shirt tied around his waist smashed the large front window of a business in the 0-99 block of East Downer Place at 7:21 a.m. Wednesday. Damage was estimated at $1,000.
A similar suspect was seen smashing two large windows at a business in the 100 block of West Downer Place between 7:50 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday, police said. Total loss was $4,500 at that business, police said.
Last weekend, the windows were smashed at a church in the 100 block of South Fourth Street, and a church in the 300 block of East Downer Place, which were both damaged early Sunday morning. Several windows were smashed in each building, police said.
Three windows also were smashed between 2 p.m. Saturday and 6:50 a.m. Sunday at Aurora City Hall at 44 E. Downer Place, police said. The damage was set at more than $3,500.
Someone also broke four windows of a restaurant in the 900 block of South Union Street between 10 p.m. Saturday and 6:58 a.m. Sunday, police said. The windows in a building next to the restaurant were smashed on Aug. 16, police said.
