Wilson: 1985 Remembered Like It Was Today
25 years ago today, the Chicago Bears beat the New England Patriots 46-10 capping one of the most dominant seasons in NFL history.
That memory still lives on in the hearts and minds of Bears' fans and members of that 1985 team.
"Well, you know, that was a very special time in a lot of our lives and the whole season was very special," former Bears' linebacker Otis Wilson said on the Mully and Hanley Show. "I remember it like it was today. I mean, it was a great time."
Unlike the Bears' success this season, it was Super Bowl or bust when the 1985 season started.
"I came here in 1980," Wilson said. "And by '84 you could see it all coming together, and '84, '85, '86 were all great years."

A lot has changed over the last 25 years. But the memory of that season still resides in the minds of all those who watched, played or have been told the stories of that season.
"Winning that Super Bowl down in New Orleans was a great time and I can't believe today is 25 years [later]," Wilson said. "Wow, time flies. But it still resonates and the folks in Chicago, here, certainly remind you everyday and thank you and appreciate you and it's just a good time. So it's a great memory, something that you'll never forget."
