Williams Impressed With First Week Of Sox Season
CHICAGO (WSCR) - Chicago White Sox General Manager Kenny Williams joined Chris Rongey on Sox Weekly Saturday to discuss his first impressions of the 2012 season. One week in, and Williams is very happy with what he is seeing.
"I think they are fighting through every at bat, through every pitch. I've seen twice now, within a week, guys have hit balls and left the batters box, and just busted their tails to get to second base and they had no right to be there," Williams said.
"When you see that kind of hustle, that kind of effort, you know the tone has been set. The guys are buying into it. I can't tell you how long I've been waiting to see that kind of play and it's certainly satisfying."
