Will School Districts Get Due State Funds?
PARK RIDGE, Ill. (WBBM) -- During the wait for Gov. Pat Quinn's about budget proposal, suburban school systems are facing great uncertainty.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Felicia Middlebrooks reports, suburban school officials do not know if they will receive the millions of dollars owed to the schools by the State of Illinois.

Quinn may provide the answers in his budget plan, which he promises will be frugal.
But that promise is not enough for Maine Township High School District 207, which covers Des Plaines, Park Ridge and part of Glenview. Spokesman Dave Beery tells the Daily Herald it's hard to operate on assumptions.
Maine Township isn't alone. Many other school districts are going ahead with budget planning not knowing whether they will receive the money they so desperately need.
