Will Hester Rise To The Occasion?
It's clear in everyone's mind that Devin Hester is the greatest returner in the history of football. Proof of this not only comes from the statistics, but also the way he does it.
This season he brought one back in a Monday night against the Green Bay Packers. He broke the NFL record for career return touchdowns in a Monday night game as well.
"There's no question, this would be a typical Devin time to do it," Bears' tight end Greg Olsen said of Hester taking one to the house in the NFC Championship game. "Seems like in the bigger games, when we really need them, is kind of when he makes these returns."
This is by far the biggest game for Hester since the Super Bowl his rookie season. And in that game, Hester took the opening kickoff back for a touchdown.
"For whatever reason," Olsen said, "certain guys have that knack, and he's one them. So this would be a great time for Devin to take one back, for sure."
