White Sox-Twins Postponed Due To Rain
Updated June 14, 2011 at 8:01 p.m.
(CBS) Tonight's game between the White Sox and Twins has been postponed due to storms in Minneapolis. It will not be made up this week.
The game was scheduled to start at 7:10 p.m. but the rain arrived around 5:30 p.m. and had not let up as of 8 p.m.
White Sox starting pitcher Gavin Floyd will now take on Twins starter Carl Pavano Wednesday in the first of what is now a two-game series. It will be the first meeting between the two rivals at Target Field this season. The Twins won two games at U.S. Cellular Field last month and have won five in a row in the series. The White Sox have lost 22 of their last 28 games played in Minneapolis.
This is the first rain-out for the White Sox this season
