White Sox Trade RHP Scott Carroll To Rangers For Cash Considerations
(CBS) The White Sox have traded right-hander Scott Carroll to the Rangers for cash considerations, they announced Wednesday.
The 31-year-old Carroll has spent most of the 2016 season at Triple-A Charlotte, where he was 2-8 with a 5.55 ERA. In 2 1/3 innings across three appearances in the big leagues this season, Carroll had allowed three earned runs.
Carroll had been outrighted by the White Sox last week.
Carroll was 1-1 with a 3.44 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 18 appearances for the White Sox in 2015.
