White Sox Trade Kenny Williams' Son
(CBS) The White Sox traded Ken Williams Jr. to the Colorado Rockies for first baseman Mark Tracy, according to multiple reports.
Williams Jr. is the son of White Sox Executive Vice President Ken Williams, who was promoted to his current position last week. The trade is the first for new White Sox general manager Rick Hahn who took over the position for Williams.
Coincidentally, Tracy is the son of former Rockies manager Jim Tracy.
The White Sox drafted Williams Jr. in the sixth round of the 2008 draft. He hit .233 in five minor league seasons. This year he hit .250 at Double-A Birmingham.
Tracy hit .264 with six home runs and 24 RBI with Single-A Modesto this past season.
