White Sox To Face Pierzynski Today
(CBS) The White Sox will face former teammate A.J. Pierzynski Tuesday for the first time since he signed with the Texas Rangers in the offseason.
The White Sox made the short trip to Surprise, Ariz. for the matinee and Pierzynski is in the Rangers' lineup, batting fourth and catching.
Pierzynski was the White Sox catcher for eight seasons, winning a World Series with the team in 2005. The team elected not to re-sign him in the offseason, instead going with Tyler Flowers as the catcher this season. Flowers is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rangers.
