White Sox Soar Past Mariners
The White Sox are on the right path if Thursday's game was any indication. The Seattle Mariners only scored one run in Thursday's exhibition game.
Alex Rios homered, John Danks pitched two hitless innings and the Chicago White Sox beat the Seattle Mariners 6-1 Thursday for their first spring training win.
Danks walked two of the eight batters he faced, but was otherwise pleased with his 37-pitch debut.
Adam Dunn made his first appearance at first base in a White Sox uniform, coinciding with his first hit, a fourth-inning single. He scored on Rios' drive, Chicago's first homer this spring.
Luke French threw three scoreless innings for Seattle, allowing two hits and striking out two.
The Mariners' lone run came on a bases-loaded walk in the sixth inning.
